I have alot of people asking me to do their car and truck wheels but it just takes forever to blast them in my cabinet. Hopefully setting mine up with the pot blaster will make it easier. Keep on with the great vids!

Can you do a video and show how long each step of your processes take?! And how long the completion of for example a set of 2 tone wheels take. Maybe put the actual time on screen when you are blasting each wheel, cure, wash, etc. . Put the total hours.
I feel people undervalue powder coaters because they don’t understand the time it takes.

Thanks

I noticed you said you were shooting “mirror black?” I also use prismatic powders but use the ink black. Isn’t mirror black Columbia? I noticed that when I shoot ink black, I will get a random small bump/pinhole here and there on bigger parts(wheels and thick flat steel) when I shoot small or round tubing I have no issues at all. Is your feeling the same or do you find using mirror black is better than ink black? Thanks for posting the videos. Keep up on the keep

Hey man, love the vids. Can you give us a slow close up of the finish. I have been told it's almost impossible to get powder glass flat but yours look darn close. Many thanks keep'em coming. Congrats on the 1k

Love your video's. When you mention don't coat over someone job what do you do with chrome parts. Ive seen a couple of coater hetch the parts lightly in the sandblaster and coat over that. Is that ok ? Or you need to have it unchrome thanks

Just out of curiosity, have you ever used an Eastwood powder coater? Every company I've received a quote for powder coating a set of wheels out here in Colorado has been drastically more expensive then the company I used back in Wisconsin, to the point where buying the equipment myself would actually be more cost effective (I already have a nice air compressor, and the space).

I always enjoy watching your videos. Did you spray the powder at 40 KV? Greetings from Serbia

Hey man, love the videos. Do you mount and balance the wheels in your shop ? I have a small coating Buisness and was thinking about get a changer and balancer. Just not sure if it’s worth the investment/ aggravation. I do about 2-3 sets of wheels a week.

At 10:17 I see that you bake the wheel with the threaded stud and nut still attached to the wheel through the air valve hole. Does this not bond the nut to the wheel and crack the finish when removed? And on other parts that are hung from a hook, is there not a witness mark where the hook is touching the part after bake out? Thanks

thanks for sharing your knowledge! do you happen to check for mil thickness after curing? we're always checking to improve consistency and was just curious to compare notes with you :D for ex I found gloss black needs to be between 6 and 10mil to be mirror smooth and NOT 2.5 to 3.5 like the spec sheet says. We use Tiger Drylac. Tried spraying cold like you but never seem to get smooth finish. Take care dude!

Do you do anything to the wheel between sandblasting and coating?? Do you just blow them clean or do you whipe them off??

Good one Sir! Always learned something new from your vids. Much respect from a noob here all the way from Brunei. One question- i dont have access to proper sandblasting equipment, will it still be ok if i strip and sand down wheels before powder?

After the chemical strip do you then outgas before the media blast?

When you taped the back off then sprayed, what did you end up putting over where you taped at? Or did you leave it sand blasted
