57. The Traditions of the Pharisees - Mark 7:1-4

The Pharisees believed that in order to properly keep the law that is found in the Bible, it was important to keep hundreds of other more specific oral laws that had been handed down from previous generations. This is what Jesus refers to here as the “tradition of the elders.”

I was raised Christian and after going through what I call a "New Conception" and reading Revelation 5:5 I said to God "I am going to consider everything I believe is in error and asked Him to teach me to meaning of the Bible. Then I began with Genesis 1:1 and read through to Revelation 22:21 writing down every question I couldn't understand asking God for their understanding. I found out that "trust in God with all your heart and lean not on (one's own understanding" enough to follow John 3:3-8 & Matthew 19:29 and I obtained an understanding I don't know anyone who agrees with me. The tradition of Sages. Jesus called them out with 'Honour thy Father and mother' they made a proclamation to twist the commandment to fit their wants. They knew He was right but their ego refused to submit to God's authority
