Ouspensky almost broke with Gurdjieff in 1916 after only meeting Gurdjieff in April 1915, and actually broke with Gurdjieff three times: in Essentuki in 1918; in Constantinople in 1921; finally breaking away in 1924 at the Prieure' in France.

I'm not sure Ouspensky ever traveled with Gurdjieff in America as this video suggests.

But Sadhguru is correct, Gurdjieff was an insane teacher of a very important system and Ouspensky, who was saner, wrote it all down for us.
