I actually think that this video is really good.
When you see ballet, you only witness its superficial beauty, its outer shell. The world of professional dance is harsh and cruel, it breaks you if you're not strong enough. You need to pour endless blood, tears and effort into making perfect a body that was born to be flawed. It's a constant chase, a competition, a display of masked insecurities.

This video showed it kind of well. And it went with the music, too

I've been listening to this track for several days now after my grandmother's funeral. It's very calming at night when I don't have anything to distract myself with. I actually forgot I had this until I found my old SD cards. I really miss playing the violin now. But I can still start up again after I get a new bow. Moving was not very gentle to another of my stuff.

my god, i can't stop watching! once i've started to understand piece by piece, i've viewed it over and over again... because i liked the meaning i thought i saw. on the first day, for almost a whole hour... and the more i understood, the more it touched me, the more i wanted to watch it. it was only at maybe the sixth viewing that i fully grasped it and how it relates to my life and a lot of people's lives and the powerful way in which it is portrayed finally brought tears to my eyes. fantastic!

What beautiful music! the fact is that the irony of this video to sometimes be true the dancers on stage sometimes are in a battle against themselves and against their opponents believe that this has much to do with the obsession that makes the dancers of his art, defending both his art that are willing to kill and die for the ballet! in this melody you can clearly see the struggle between themselves and their rivals.

A dispetto di alcuni commenti, trovo molto bello l'accostamento fra la danza classica e la danza Haka, tipica del popolo Maori. All'inizio del video, mentre alcune ballerine fanno esercizi di riscaldamento una di esse scrive appunti di matematica. La musica, la danza, i movimenti del corpo, sono espressioni dello spirito. Al di la di ogni apparenza, di ogni canone o luogo comune.

No se si alguien más lo vio como yo, pero yo creo que este video, perfectamente escenificado, interpretado y coreografías o, de gran valor artístico, es sobre los roles de género y sobre cómo nos influencian desde niñas.
Si os fijáis durante todo el video desde el comienzo hay un gran contraste, de manera en que todo lo que acaban haciendo es todo lo contrario a lo que se espera: Es un ballet, que representa una danza de ideal femenino (delicadeza, perfección, delgadez, soportar el dolor) pero la danza final es en un campo de fútbol, hay un balón y ellas aparte de llevar zapatillas deportivas, están haciendo los gestos agresivos que hacen los jugadores cuando están en equipos y se desafían, la danza es agresiva y nada delicada, escupen al suelo y mientras al principio una de ellas parece estar escribiendo un diario, sobre sus sentimientos, se imagina, hay una representación gráfica de una ecuación al final de la página... También al principio no se ve mucho, pero parece que una de las chicas besa a otra.
Y como colofon la niña que sale observandolas: Al principio ella se frota los ojos, como si estuviera en un sueño. Eso puede representar un tipo de abstracción, o todas las cosas que de niñas no vemos que somos, o que podemos ser, debido a la educación y los roles. En la segunda escena la niña ya no se pone las manos sobre los ojos, y luego la escena final : Aparece el plano de las dos chicas que se enfrentan mirándola directamente, desde un plano que va justo hacia el espectador, acompaña con la música e invita a la reflexión. Es como si estuvieran mostrándole todo lo que puede ser, todo el contraste y variedad de posibilidades de ambos lados sin ningún tipo restriccion.

Awesome. Not the video I would expect for this track, but also not with the (small) depth I thought it would be. Very very very good. A short movie, by itself.
