Samsung Galaxy S5 vs HTC One: first look

PhoneArena presents an early comparison video between the Galaxy S5 and the HTC One. Naturally, the Galaxy S5 is going to have the upper hand most of the time in this comparison, seeing that it's the much newer smartphone but still, the rivalry between Samsung and HTC is so big, that we just had to pit these two against each other.

Did he say the battery life would last a couple days with regular use? By regular use does he mean never turning it on?? I have the HTC an I'd be lucky to get 10 hours out of a charge with minimal texting an web use.

ive had mine htc m7 going on 3 years now its been the best phone ive ever had droped it shatered the screen been a good 1 hell ive even droped it in toilet still works great but i do like the s5

Samsung keeps making the same product because reviews like this, it's not stylish, and its not premium! I hope HTC OR LG wipes their ass with this S5

The one year old phone ( HTC One ) is still the best out there and the best for me ! HTC One is a phone that peoples are going to talk about 5 years from now on and when HTC M8 will come out pff it will f... everything up !

SGS5 got the cheapest fingerscanner, useless pulse rate measure shit (should be build into the gearwatch!)
NatureUX is still ugly especially the settings menu. They copied the blinkfeed...
The speaker or microphones didn't got upgraded. Only the camera of SGS5 is positive beside the s801.

I won't deny the htc is a brilliant phone but the expandable memory for the galaxy s phones has always been a big selling point for me but for me the the s5 is worth it as I am upgrading from a s3

Why are we comparing this to a year old phone? It's already evident that the HTC One is a better phone, but when the "All New One" comes out in March, this battle will be DONE. It will blow the doors off the GS5. The screen will be bigger, there'll be a fingerprint scanner, better cameras front and back, micro SD card slot, Snapdragon 805 processor, Boomsound... No contest.

Words are that HTC is holding back to launch their flagship phone to next month for the Snapdragon 805 chip to be ready for it. It'll be the first mobile phone to have it & the first phone that can output 4k.
My question is w/samsung is what's the big fuckin hurry to launch the S5? The processor will be outdated when the Snapdragon 805 chip is out.

I like the HTC cuz its a aluminium.... but u cant put MicroSD card on it and im really disappointed (I have lots of songs and movies on my SDcard and i always watch movies on my phone). The S5 sure is nice, waterproof, fingerprint, 2.5 ghz processor. the design is boring and it's plastic (again). I like to see some aluminium style on the Galaxy line.

black and white making the battery last longer ... geezuz samsung is really pushing peoples gullable factor :/ .... screen being color, or b&w wont matter since its the internal components taking up most of the power usage samsung i've switched from apple to you (s2 / s3 ) and then last year i switched to the HTC one ... when HTC made the 'ONE' they didnt just make something to leech and fool people, they made it with soul . when i hold that phone, i can feel the importance that, that phone has for HTC HTC FTW !!!!

Argh this Dosnt help me decide what phone to get.. Every seems to be expecting to much of the S5! I need help deciding.. Btw I have been an iPhone user for years, I want something different
