I met my best friends after like almost full year or so, in 2016. I was just returning from a vacation because I desperately needed a huge break (things was getting out of hand, later it was discovered I was suffering from severe burnout and depression). I was 12 years old. It was a Monday morning, 5 am, with the sun just starting to show up above the horizon. I stopped to take a photo of the beautiful sunrise, in the Airport. There were 2 suitcases, a backpack and a camera in my hands. My brother was listening to this exact song (quite the coincidence actually) and when I lowered the cam, there they were. 4 of my best friends, standing right there. None of them were early risers, they had stayed up all night with their families just for me. I left all my stuff and ran as fast as I could and hugged them tightly. We were all in tears, and this song just hit the chorus at the right time. All of my favourites together: a wonderful sunrise, my closest friends, my family and a memorable vacation. My mom took a photo of it and the moment can only be described as what I can call magical. It was a perfect start of my new life.

I don't know why people are talking about Hogwarts, or L'manberg, or Camp Half Blood. Honestly I only remember that Nikon ad with this song.

I imagine this is what loving someone feels like, when you return to their arms. this song never fails to make me think of seeing my comfort character and they turn around (at the first "Welcome home") and smile. I smile back, unshed tears forming in my eyes, and break into a run. I launch myself into their open arms and they catch me. they spin around and squeeze me tight and as I give a watery laugh, I think to myself that this, _this_ is what home feels like.

The day you can hear this "welcome home" and feel at home with yourself, 100% as you are, able to accept yourself and love who you are regardless of anybody else's love or acceptance in life...that is the best day.

Why does this song remind me of being 4-5 years old waking up in the country, at grandma's house and it's a Saturday summer day, with plans of bumming bown the old back roads with my older siblings, looking through the woods for deer and birds. Going down the "fun" road, going as fast as legally possible, we're all screaming and laughing in the back of the old mustang. Then going home and helping grandma make dinner with the veggies fresh from grandpa's garden.

There was a story, but I can't remember what it's called but I think it was about a father and his two son's: the father represents something bigger and we are the son that every time we mess up and no matter how much we screw things up 'our father' will always be at the door step with arms open, and say "welcome home." It hits some of us different because we feel like we don't deserve the love or forgiveness but yet 'theu' tend to forgive us because they care so much and love so much mo matter how many times we yell at them or leave them.

For me it's lord of the rings, not hogwarts that brings nostalgia. Reading the trilogy and reading the Hobbits were the best for me
