My uncle worked at the north tower. He had no choice but to jump off of the broken window, the elevator and the stairs were blocked. I wish I could’ve met him, I love you uncle. R.I.P🕊️

Today in history class we learned about the the guy with the red bandana, Welles Crowther. He worked in the second tower but always wanted to be a firefighter. When the planes crashed, he used his bandana to lead people out and kept going back. Sadly, the 24 year old died when the building collapsed. In the end, he got to live his dream of being a firefighter in his family and friends eyes. This man was one of the many, many heros on September 11th, 2001

Edit: y'all tysm for all the likes this is blowing my mind rn tysm!!!! 🩷
Btw whoever said I took your comment down I'm sry did not realize it was there also I couldn't find it. Also some of y'all are saying that he was a firefighter and wanted to be one again this is just what I learned and ik he was a volunteer firefighter but I learned he wanted to be a real one

No matter how much I’ve joked about it I have the most respect for the emergency responders and the civilians that died. My family member was one of the first to get hit in the pentagon. He had just been promoted and got a brand new office. That office is where the plane struck on that day. Rip Brian moss🫡

My dad told me that there were many firefighters that couldn't escape. May God bless them in heaven.

My uncle worked as a security guard in the South Tower. He was killed by debris when the South Tower collapsed.
I wished I got to know him if he lived to this day. R.I.P 🕊🕊🕊

Even though I wasn’t alive to witness it, I can still feel the trauma and devastation it left behind.

For those Americans who have never seen the lights, take the pilgrimage to NYC one year. The whole world trade center really is beautiful. The freedom tower, the 9/11 museum, the two pools. They did an incredible job. And to see the beams of light in person on 9/11 (the only night of the year when the beams are lit) is truly very moving. Worth the trip.

I had a buddy growing up whose dad was a fire fighter who responded to the attacks, even when we were 10-12 years old, he told me his dad had never been the same since

my aunt was a survivor, she hates talking about it because she lost her best friend due to this, but she told me the story because she is my inspiration and I had to be my inspiration for history class or talk about someone that survived something traumatic. I am so glad she was a survivor and not someone who passed away, but I pray every day for these people 😢❤..
