Can't wait for the Chieftan's top 5 pre-dreadnought battleships video

I fit reasonably well in a T-55 as it happens…TC’s position is a bit tight, though.

Hi Tank Nuts! Let us know what you think of Drachinifel's Top 5 Tanks. Which tanks do you think deserved a place on his list?

Drach - renowned for Naval History.
The Tank Museum - Early tanks were called Land Battleships.
Drach: Close enough!

Finally: Drach sharing his view on "big armored things with guns on them".

Ok so now we have to get an episode of the chieftain playing "ho bugger, the ship is on fire" from the depth of the boiler room of battleship New Jersey and the "all things metal that go boom" crossover will be complete

Either a Scorpion or Scimitar Commander in the Falklands jumped out of his Turret and sank in the boggy ground up to his knees, his vehicle was sitting on top of the ground still.

"Quite interesting " in English translates to American as "I'm super pumped about this".

Tank Museum and Royal Armories are doing a great job of engaging the online community, wish museums in the US did similar.

That ".50 cal" at the front of the Buffalo is a 20 mm Polsten gun (quite similar to an Oerlikon 20 mm).

It has been pointed out that due to the early involvement of the navy in tank design, a lot of terminology was adopted for the new machines. So they were equipped with Hulls, hatches, turrets, sponsons.
Taking the naval design factor to its extreme, you could have included some of the multi-turreted leviathan's that were built in the 1930s.

Come on Drach, the T-55 has another NAVYish connection. It may not swim on water but can kind of dive like a submarine and deep fording rivers with a snorkel.

One of the top 5 (my #1) of this series based on the extraordinary combination of engaging articulate presenter and depth of information so succinctly covered.
