Learn what to do and not to do when switching the power button around in a modded Arcade1Up cabinet.

Watch ETA Prime’s Video for the script. Links for both the video and commands are below.

Instead of the momentary switch he describes, plug your power cable from the Off/On switch instead.

Can you do a video on how you wired your led buttons??? Also, can you do a video on your SD card and what rom set you have installed. Loving your arcade 1up videos. Keep em coming. I just gave you two ideas.

Hey DL, once again you make the videos for stuff I'm already planning to do on my cab. Thanks! This will come in handy when I get some time to do it :)

Whats good Detroit Love, first of all thanks for all the current updates (Videos) on mods for Arcade 1 Up cabinets. Question since I'm fairly new, I finished my mod not long ago and i'm very interested how people get the load custom screen (as you had and ETA Prime ) when the game is loading. I've only seen one video on how to do custom splash screens but nothing about when the game loads. Is this the same settings or is there something else you have to do to complete this? Thanks for the help and yes I've subscribed in hopes that maybe you make a video on this!

Couldn’t you just cut the cables and rejoin them red to black and black to red? Surely that would reverse the switch.

Sorry man, forgot to subscribe lol, I just did it. Did you have to do this on your SF2 cabinet to get it to work? Or did you only have to reverse the Galaga one?

Thanks for video @Detroit Love. Sorry if this was asked already but before you did this, have you tried reversing the orientation of the cable on the PIN? So for instance swap the red and black wire the other way on the 5 and 6 pin?

Hey I’m trying to make a power switch but my fan has been connected to pins 4 being red and 6 being black. I’m trying Pin 2 being red and 9 being black for the power switch, do I have to modify the script so the power is for pins 2 & 9?

Could you please post a link of the script you used to make the power switch work? I would really appreciate it thanks!

Hey Detroit Love - Next problem for me is connecting the Rasp Pi to wifi. I only got as far as putty and it wouldn't find the IP address or retropie. I entered the info in RetroPie under Raspi Config to my SSID and password, also changed county and time zone. Not able to see it before or after reboot. Any suggestions? How do I do it manually through the software as a worst case scenario? Thanks again! (I hate to bother you with all the issues, just a good place to get answers out for everyone that may run in to it)

I added this to my arcade1up SF cab, any help with this would be appreciated. Alright so I got everything working. (or had everything working I should say) I was able to turn it on and off a few times with the stock power button.Then I mounted everything;
But now the pi wont power on at all with the power button plugged into pin 5 and 6. Any ideas?
