When you are so desperate to eat meat you abandon every bit of common sense and dignity you had.

Okay pick some spinach leaves off the plant, pick an apple, a pear, some strawberries, raspberries and blackberries off bushes, and you get food with no harm to the plant. In fact, many many plants we are encouraged to prune so that they grow better and stronger~ pruning means to purposefully remove some material from the plant, cut it back in other words, or do what is called deadheading blossoms which have all but dried up, the bloom having lived its life cycle. All of these things are beneficial to the plant. Vegans are not destroying plants, conversely, we are planting them when we garden ourselves, and helping them grow when we pick their fruit. That's how it's supposed to work, that's how it's worked for millennia and millennia because it feeds people (and that's why I can use that aspect of the argument and have it not be a fallacy)

I guarantee if you try to prune a chicken or a lamb, cut off one of their legs just to eat.... I guarantee you there will be no benefit to the animal. In fact it will destroy the animal, because he or she will slowly bleed to death in terrible pain.

But you're right of course, there is absolutely no reason not to kill animals, because common sense and the laws of nature do not apply to the deluded thought processes of anti-vegans....
