I like to think this is sung by someone who was a titan for so long that they forget how to speak, hence the lyric “I can sing again like a bird in the sky” and “laugh again with me”. It would also explain why the English is so broken and why their voice is raspy: because they haven’t spoken in decades.

When you think of it like that, the song also has spoilers. “Go to meeting place” could be referring to the place where Grisha met with all of his comrades before they were found out.

Maybe im digging too deep here, but I still love the song regardless. The voice is so broken yet still has a bit of spirt left in it, like whoever singing it won’t give up what they’re fighting for.
