As an Iowa fan I hope they win. SC is a flat out beast on D and easily the pick to win it all. These 2 teams have really good chemistry. Iowa on offense SC on defense. That comes from years of playing together and believing in each other. Iowa has to have a good 3 point shooting night. Let the bombs fly. Get out and run in transition as much as possible. SC is big and physical. Maryland showed how the fast pace in first quarter was effective not letting SC setup the D. Iowa has a chance to pull off the upset. They are playing with house money so let it all ride.

Iowa is going to have to shoot their way into giving them a winning chance, we know clark can get hot its her supporting cast that will need to be on their A game to have a chance. if they can knock down 3s then maybe that can combat SC 2s from the paint.

Love my Hawkeyes, lifelong fan, but there's no way we upset this team... they're just assembled in an unbeatable way...height, depth. Clark is the best player in the nation, but doesn't have the other weapons needed.

Just a basketball fan's perspective, SC has an edge on size, but things could happen. Both teams are good, them players are talented. They just need to feel the hunger...

The nation's second leading scorer, who's #1 in assists, who shoots 58% from 25+ feet and just made history in women's and men's basketball with a 40 point triple double and this guy can't call her the nations best player but corrects himself and says she's the most entertaining. ESPN doesn't want to offend anyone so much that they can't say what's so blatantly obvious.

A new CC fan in here. Game against SC will be tough test because of the size and depth of SC team. I love the way Iowa coaching staff have implemented a tactical scheme that supports unique talents of their players.
Most impressive have been the deep entries to Czinano from "the logo". I think Clark has to pass from there cause those bullets would go through everybodys hands if she played any closer.
I'm eagerly waiting for Iowa's defensive decisions. They have a chance if they make the right adjustments during the game, I'd say South Carolina are the favourites (65%), but I'm rooting for Iowa.

Been around long enough to say Caitlin Clark reminds of a young 'Pistol Pete' Maravich. Pistol had great statistical number both in college and pro, but never won a championship. I get it Caitlin got that hype, but South Carolina last year champs had a target on their [senior class] back all this year. Aaliyah Boston will have a impact on the game without high personal statistics and Dawn will have her team focused, flexible and changeable. I am focusing on the Beal vs Clark match up.

Anything can happen in the tournament. It's about match up. What I respect about this SC team is that the team has 8 McDonald's All American's yet they play as a team. Cardoza and LA would start on many other teams. Beal will need to make Clark work for every shot, even if she gets 30. The other Iowa players will need to step up.

Many think the one team that had the best chance of upsetting SC was UConn
but they were not prepared for the Ohio State defense. SC defeated UConn by 4 pts.
earlier and that was with 3 of UConns best on the bench injured and unable to play.
