Editing a snipe

If you are a Gixen user, one of the essential things you need to know is how to change the maximum bid of a snipe.

We will assume that you already have at least one snipe scheduled.

Log in and look for the "MySnipes" button in the navigation.

If you use FREE Gixen service, you will have to wait 20 seconds before Gixen redirects you to the dashboard where your snipes are displayed.

If you want to remove a 20-second timer and get increased reliability and other benefits, you can do so by subscribing to Gixen Mirror. It is only around $6 /year.

Once you have logged in, you will notice an "EDIT" button next to each scheduled snipe.

If you click on the "EDIT" button, fields will appear where you can change your maximum bid in the "YOUR BID" field.

Change the maximum bid amount and press the MODIFY button. Soon, Gixen will take you back to the page where all your snipes are scheduled, and you will be able to see the new maximum bid in the "BID" field.

What if I set my maximum bid at $300 six seconds before the auction ends, and I'm winning with a current bid of $280? Then, two seconds before the auction ends, another bidder sets a maximum bid of $290, which is higher than my current bid but lower than my maximum. What happens in that case? Please help.

To get around the countdown, right click the button and go to "Inspect". On the right hand side, the button HTML code will be highlighted, double click on "disabled" and delete it. Now you can press F12 to close the inspector and click the button before the countdown finishes.
