Why do we study Lagrangian in Quantum field theory? Why it is considered to be so important? In this lecture of quantum field theory, I have explained about the concept of Lagrangian. Before that I have explained why do we need Lagrangian and how from the Lagrangian we can derive the Newton's laws of motion. I have also explained about the Euler-Lagrange equation and how different equations and notations get transferred from classical to quantum field theory. The concept of Lagrangian density is also discussed here.
