This doesn't make sense. The distance from point B to point O is equal to 10. Yet, you drew a picture so that P is perpendicular to the crane and stated that the Hypotenuse is also 10, but this doesn't make sense because point B is fixed?

x = 10 m from the truck to the tow line! You can't just change how long x is. This is a much more complicated problem than it looks. Your x in the video is actually the x=10 m from the problem plus what else you added call it x' or x" therefore the hypotenuse to the similar triangle is 10 + x'. Then you would need to find the new hypotenuse to the large triangle with the 1m in height added. Please update. I'm having trouble solving this problem because you need to use similar triangles. Please
