F-16 Formation Landing

my buddy filmed my formation approach and landing

I love the fact that you can hear them throttling up and down. The amount of coordination and precise throttle and stick movements necessary to perform formation flight let alone formation landing or arial refueling is incredible. You can also see the other pilot constantly keeping an eye on his partner to stay in formation. Nice video.

Plot twist:. The gopro was helmet mounted forward facing. The pilot stuck the landing while keeping eyes on his buddy as guidance.

Nice filming. The sound inside is so different than outside. Inside you seem to mostly hear the front compressor wheel (N1 ?) regime of the engine, even in afterburners. Outside well, it is hell on earth. (I mean when on A/B)

Love that bird! Live about 12 miles from the runway at LAFB. The primere and best training base for the F16 and F35 platforms. Let me tell you...although I can barely see them even at night on approach to the southwest... I can still tell the difference between the F16 and F35. The F35 is much louder lol.
I have the beautiful Eflite 80mm F16 RC jet and got the custom decals from Callie Graphics for LF and the training fighter wing so it looks just like the ones pilots fly out of Luke. Gotta pay respect to one of the best....and arguably the sexist most deadly weapons platform every created. Nothing but repect for the pilots and crews that maintain these amazing machines. I noticed after that T-38 crash they no longer do formation landings not sure if that is just in the T-38 or all AF aircraft.

I am no expert on Military Aviation, but why it took them so long/slow, in order to make their nose down? Is it to slow down the plane? Aren't there any speedbrake?

Luke Air Force Base? I saw northern parkway. And oh yeah... that other f16 has to be the smoothest butter landing I have ever seen on a fighter jet.
