I honestly don't know who is even remotely interested in this video, but I made it anyway.

Here are Young Adult Fantasy books that I definitely think are staples and are must reads.

I had read (well listened on Audible) the Shadow and Bone series and then had watched the show and I was so confused because I hadn't read Six of Crows yet and apparently Netflix wanted to mash the two together so people would be familiar with Kaz and that gang if I remember that right? I was lost when those characters came into play because I had no idea who they were. Now that I listened to Six of Crows and currently listening to Crooked Kingdom, I know who the characters are but it was too many things going on at once for me with the show. If I knew they were going to include both stories together in one show I would have held off to get through both first so I would understand the characters back stories better (they are never as detailed as the books). Now that I peek on her website there are two more that follow a year after the Six of Crows and it's suggested to read all the other books first (King of Scars and Rule of Wolves). So... Now I guess I'm getting those now too.

I’ve heard of most of these but there were a couple series that I never heard of. I was disappointed to hear that you didn’t like the rest of the grisha series because I have that trilogy on my shelf but I haven’t read it yet.

Why didn't you like the last book in the Folk of the Air series?
