I recently tested the skmei 1628 swimming in the ocean and it performs very well, it's light weight, easy to read, awesome back light, all this features for the price worth it

In Casio watches, this symbol means the "backlight" function is active.

On the Casio watches the flashing symbol is for a flashing alert so that when, for example, the alarm goes off the screen flashes. Saw this on a Casio video.

The G shock DW 5600E has also the date feature in the alarm mode and the auto repaet feature in the timer mode you turn it on the same way as the Skmei press the light button in the timer setting to turn on the auto repaet, the only thing the Skmei has more than the G shock is the dual time mode

I had this and a DW-5600E-1 at the same time. I really wanted to like the original g-shock but it didn't work for me. I use the stopwatch and timer a lot when working out and the buttons on the original square are terrible to operate. The Skmei is also lighter (30 grams vs the g shock 50 grams) and I can wear it looser while it still grips my wrist very well -- much more comfortably than the g shock which moves around a lot. I really can't believe it, but I do preffer the $5 skmei over the $50 g-shock. The g shock did feel more polished and visually it had better branding, and how actually shock resistant the Skmei is remains to be seen. However overall I do prefer the Skmei, which is incredible for the 5€ I got it for.

Ill tell ya one thing, I bought a SKMEI 1134 larger size overall, and I LOVE IT - its the size I like as its much easier to read and its the first and only sport watch ive ever had that had the extra length to fit my 8-1/2" wrist. I always have to resort to adapters and NATO bands which is ok as I like NATO bands but I shouldnt have to - its not just the casio sport watches its many many other type and brand watches that do not fit larger wristed folks - PLEASE get a clue manufacturers and add another three or four holes to your darn straps--!!!

Very Interested to see that genuine bezals fit as have a plan for a full metal G replica have an old square replica I was going to use but a new watch would be better and somebody once told me it's pronounced "Sekmay" but most peeps say it like you do! Have two Skmei squares but they're much larger than a 5610

7:31 on a g-shock that is the auto backlight icon, SKMEI Just copied it and used it randomly because it is in the middle of the screen and Connot be avoided

I have 2 of these watches. Regarding the accuracy One of them gained 7 seconds in a week and the other lost 5 seconds in the same week. Not bad for a watch that cost about £10 at the time of purchase.

You can replace the 1628 module with 1999 module (I've done it).

1999 has a better viewing angle and better numbers clarity. Also, its light is much much better. And you have to press the button continuously to change the time(on 1628 I pressed it accidentally a few times).

1999 module disadvantage: no repeat and no time on countdown mode.

Me ha gustado mucho este reloj pero hay algo que le falta por mejorarle y son los botones que sobresalen mucho de la caja y debido al uso se tornas de un color como el de laton

that symbol, on a Casio at least, means the back light will flash with the alarm/hr chime. you can see this on the DW290 for example. as to why it flashes, not a clue. seems like a cheap watch thing to me. or since it was lacking the feature they have it there purely to copy aesthetics and have it flashing randomly. either way loved the vid :)
