If you guys dont like melee skills like LS or Frostblade, Splitting steel is really really solid too and it's faster for clearing. Also, you can use energy blade for more damage and attack speed for leveling if you dont have enough energy shield to profit from ephemeral edge or if you want to attack faster. Also for more attack speed, spell suppression and movement speed for cheap, you can get a massive thread of hope on the socket above raider. You can get sleight of hand, forces of nature, aspect of the linx, weapon atristry, quickstep, harrier and leadership. That's around 30% easy attack speed.

For people wonder budget version. On SC Trade I made it to 7.4k ES using 7-8 Div.
I slammed Screaming Woe (around 1 Div) on gear till I hit a % ES prefix.
I bought Voice of the storm for 4 Div.
I bought a belt with % max ES implicit for 3c.
I bought Ephemeral (non RT) for 40c and took accuracy nodes (have 97% accuracy)
I bought 1 cluster jewel for 1 Div (could have been 30c but I bought a level 50-67 jewel to make rolling the mods easier). Im using Feed, Fuel, and Heavy Hitter. I only have 2 of the 3 on a jewel and have it socketed till I farm some more Red Juice for attack rolling. But it feels fine
I bought level 85/86 bases for around 65c (35 of that was for a 6 link).
I bought a lethal pride with 2 - 1 rage on hit nodes for 60c (normally 1 div)
I bought Shav Ring for 20c
I bought 3 - 3 stat jewels with % Es and 2 other useful stats for 5-15c each
I bought Enlightened Level 2 for 80c and the rest of the gems I leveled myself (currently rocking lvl 18 0 qual gems)

All in all 8 or so Div for a budget version isnt bad. I can do T16 comfortably. Havent done bossing yet as still trying to roll better flasks and finish my cluster setup but otherwise its been a fun build to play. Im sure I can get better gear and need better gear for some content but honestly pretty fun build even on a couple div worth of gear.

I actually recently started a Spectral Wolves build just to work on some achievements in standard. Running Law of the Wilds with the Squire for easily triggering and full support. Doing poison with them. I’m into early endgame, and it feels pretty good.

If you want to play tanky flicker strike for map clear, I'm running basically the same setup but for flicker strike. I'm using Aegis Aurora, Iron Reflexes, and might try to get a perfect Darkness Enthroned with 50% avoid shock abyss jewel (ideally with flat lightning added) and Stormshroud to get ailment immune. Can get up to like 90k armour with your gear so you recover like 1800ES on block. Tribal Fury anoint on the Voice of the Storm for clear. Ephemeral Edge is great this league.

Because the dps can be different for melee and projectile hits, I recommend duplicating your Lightning Strike skill group and checking both for "Include in Full DPS." For the duplicated one, set it to projectile hits.

Now you also have returning projectiles, which depending on how many returns you want to calculate (1 or 2- I do 1 because the projectile from the melee hit or the other strike additional target projectile can miss the mob, so you only get 1 and rarely do you get 2). But the way I do it is with this custom modifier in PoB: 39% more projectile damage.
It is derived from: D + D*(1-0.61)*N where N is the number of returns that hit the boss (I use N = 1) and D is some arbitrary projectile damage.

On day 7 i rerolled ephemereal edge trickster, went about 30 div in, 13k ES, about 15m dual strike dps. Now the gear is worth like 300 div lmao

easy on budget, you can league start this pretty easily, although, your life will be infinitely easier if you use splitting steel or molten strike for bossing and ls for farming, you just have to switch 2 gems
