Living BD Legend. It’s such a shame that He will be lost soon. Goodbye Brandon Olander, you will be missed by us all 😭❤️

Who knew that kid that showed up at BD rehearsal at 12 was going to grow up to be such a talent? Everyone...everyone knew...

Being an old man and having seen the progression of talent from the late 70's when I first started playing rudimental snare to what it is today is truly amazing. The level of musicianship, chops, control and overall sound that is coming out of these young people is inspirational. I can't imagine being in the same universe with people like Brandon. He's a naturally gifted and hard working young man who has earned every bit of praise he receives. Congratulations Brandon, you're truly one of a kind!

3:25 Did anyone else notice the camera angles switching with Brandon's hands switching? Major props to the cameraman...

Musical, Difficult, and Exciting? This is easily one of the best solos I have ever seen. Great performance by a great musician.

I'm a lifelong wind player and cannot imagine my forearms and wrists ever moving that fast without catching fire and falling off.

This is my favorite snare solo of all time
Maybe if I start practicing now, I can finish learning it at one-one hundredth tempo by about 2045

His Recovery when he did almost dropped the stick on the front stick flip is phenomenal 🔥🔥

..those seamless transitions to different rudiments and 'feels', compounded by the speed he's playing at, puts the difficulty level in a completely higher category. Unreal.

The writing solid - gotta acknowledge that this solo has some of the hardest passages I’ve ever seen, incredible chops.

My god we are all getting old... I remember seeing him on YouTube in like 2010 when I started marching and even meeting him at a DCI show at Mt. SAC in 2013(?) then seeing him get into the blue devils and everything. I graduated high school 4 years ago and seeing this now just makes trips me the fuck out. Really happy DCI worked out for him so well. Congrats to Brandon foreal.

What a beautiful testament to what people can achieve with tremendous amounts of discipline. It’s incredible seeing how much he has grown. Beautiful work, Brandon. Like others have said, a living legend.

I stopped warming up with eights and started playing this. Pretty nice little piece to get the hands warm.

Maybe the best snare drumming I've ever seen. Wow. Just Wow.

We've come a long way with I&E videos. First one I saw was Ivan Pacheco's 2004 solo. Yes, THAT one with the elbow...in glorious 360p and one camera angle. Also very cool to see a YouTube drummer win two solo titles and become center for BD. Amazing!
