Watching trains on the ECML now days can be a little boring. This Video should bring back memories of how it was in the 1990's. I do hope you enjoy watching. Thank you for your comments, I read them all.

Part of my childhood of the 90s were those machines called class 373 (GNER White Rose) - thank you for the throwback

Brilliant collection Nothing boring in those days almost every freight had different types of wagons in Great to see the Eurostar I have not seen many videos of those on ECML

I am not sure why but older footage is often shaky but this is so smooth it could have been filmed yesterday! Wonderful stuff

You don't see these formations anymore, like the 2 hst engines without the cars or the freight only carrying 4 or 5 wagons

Lovely, great mix, freight, parcels, oil, mixed locos, sat north of York the other week just south of Thirsk, highlight 125set on cross country working, nothing else to add variety, started train spotting late 50, s now they were the days, passenger, freight, parcels newspapers, cattle, mixed goods, on and on, i probably that’s why you see people running down platforms noting carriage no, s ps highlight Cliffe to Uddingston cement, !

The only thing I would want, apart from more of your wonderful footage, is a few date stamps.

For those who don't know Tallington, the cast concrete works are still served by rail and a couple of years ago (BC - Before Covid) they laid a new link into the factory area.

Another classic, Roy. Am I the only person who hopes the Azumas will have to be scrapped 🙂. How many Deltics are still in running order? Nice to see the 140mph run. A shame it was never adopted.

That really brough back memories. Pickworth Road, Essendine, where my interest in railways began in the late fifthties, watching virtually all steam in those days with just an ABC and none of the modern day luxuries of a camera or phone. Every hour spent there was magical, not knowing what would turn up next. Many thanks Roy for another great video.

Like I said to you at Hawthorn Bank crossing the other Saturday, Roy. The only good thing to have come out of lockdown is you having the time to upload these videos. Brilliant and unique, especially the early Spalding ones. Will save this one for my once a fortnight Friday bath night fix!
