KEVO Bluetooth Enabled Gateway Unboxing

This Kevo bluetooth gateway is required if you want to enable the feature that allows you to control your Bluetooth KEVO smart locks via the internet.

Unfortunately the one we opened in this video that we purchased from Amazon appeared to have been a product that had already been opened (returned product). After setting it up, we saw that the top cover of the product lifted up, when clearly it should not, the power supply was defective, and so the unit would sometimes power on, but not stay on. There was also a noticeable clicking sound coming from the plug in the instance when the light did come on, and blinked. Sounded like a loose connection to me, but not sure.

Will be returning product to Amazon as defective. Awaiting the replacement item. Hopefully we get a new item next time that actually works. We will post an update sometime after we receive the new item.

Update: We did get a replacement for the defective one we received first, and it works great. It took just minutes to setup, so we are happy.
