2022 Acer Predator Helios 300 Review - New Design, Better Performance!

Review of the Acer Predator Helios 300. This is the 2022 model with an I7-12700H and a RTX 3070TI GPU. The Acer Predator Helios 300 got a redesign for 2022 and they improved a few things to make it better overall. But of course it's still not perfect! Watch for the full review.

I still got the predator Helios 300 2019 model 4 years and half and still runs great the main issues I faced is the battery after like a year or two battery started degrading really fast and gpu fans sometimes making weird noises managed to get that fixed but other than that it’s working great

Wow. Great Chasis Design. Tons of USB Ports including Thunderbolt. 100% SRGB. QHD IPS 240hz. Not Bad Camera. Great Hinge. Acer really stepped up their Helios lineup against their old model.

I have 2018 version and looks wise this is a big upgrade, screen resolution qhd - great! Better temps no need to keep my i5 9300h at 3.6 with throttlestop, better placement or cable, great back design... But man, 2 hour battery life with 320 nits screen is just omg, i do a lot of programming rather than playing games nowadays and value resolution
and being able to see the screen in living room with huge windows and balcony door, my wife acusing me i'm a vampire but hey i can't see sh*t😆 Would not choose it for studying/work again, need better option with battery life, enough nits and resolution, 17 inch even better.. for gaming? I wonder how this stacks up against new msi's and lenovo, love that it has some nice features and looks, better keyboard etc

Based on my October 2018 Acer Predator Helios 500 experience. If you get this laptop, purchase a set of fans right away. So that down the road, you don't have to search for a place that sells new ones. So you don't get surprised by the auction website price.

I loved my 2020 predator helios 300 but when I switched to my asus rog strix I noticed that even though I went from a 2060 on my helios to a 2070 on my rog strix, it was more than just the slight bump in performance, it was nearly double the performance, and that I think is because of the thermal limitations of the 2020 helios, and the lack of a mux switch, normaly the 2070 seems to be about 30% faster than the 2060, they are headed in the right direction now but have a ways to go to get to competition level.

I'm confused, cuz everywhere i go to look for this model, it visually looks different to this one in this review. I mean on the Acer website (at least in the UK) it has the big standard Predator logo lit up on the back rather than this muted version. Are there different versions in different regions?

I have the 2019 model and I LOVE it! It's great and affordable (~1.1k$). But 2, 100$?? Really?! This 2022 model looks (and costs) a premium model, which is not what this line used to be.

I got an Acer Predator 300 in Jan 2022. I really like it. It has a QHD 165 Htz screen which is really nice. I like having the extra SATA drive, but the larger battery is the way to go, I think. Was that machine 17"? Looks like a nice set up to me. Mux switch is nice too. Will it take 4 TB M2 drives? I gather mine is limited to 2 TB per drive. (But 3 drives.) Cheers

Got this laptop and im loving it
I speant nearly 20 years playing fps i can defiantly say that the competitive edge you gain using this laptop is just outstanding the overall well-built monitor and low system latency mixed with high frames and low temps while gaming, i really recommend investing is such a gaming machine
