We will be coming down from Dublin, GA next weekend. Our base of operations for the long weekend will be on St Simons Island, GA....So me and my hubby plan to come down and do some shark teeth hunting and check out Ft Clinch and downtown Amelia Island/Fernandina Beach area...Just a day trip to this area then back up to St Simons Island/Jekyll Island for the duration of our trip...There is a shark tooth beach on Jekyll Island but I don't believe the teeth are as varied as this location, we will see. Very informative video for our first visit to the area. Thanks

We were just here and probably won’t be back again. We stayed on Fernandina Beach and drove into town to eat

Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach are absolute gems in Florida's First Coast. There are a plethora of family friendly places to visit. One place to avoid, however, is Alvin's Island on Sadler Road. They are hostile to U.S. military veterans. They openly support a draft-dodging convicted felon who refers to WWII veterans as "suckers" and "losers."

The business is a disgrace to decent, honor-bound heroes that gave the ultimate sacrifice to their country. There are plenty of other businesses on Amelia Island and in Fernandina Beach that show their respect for those who honorably served their country.
