Klaus and I purchased from Canadian Tire this miniature sunflower. Ever since it started maturing, the sunflower became a permanent attraction to a pair of American Goldfinches (male and female). Soon, we realize that the attraction were the very few seeds that the flower produces, something we did not expect since it was promoted as seedless. But the surprise is absolutely beautiful, and quite unique. It is interesting that no any other birds would try finding these rare seeds, except the American Goldfinches. Occasionally, a Chickadee would try, but not as persistent or with such expertise as the cute expert in this video.

Give them water! - I too place clean fresh WATER in a few places for birds and small animals.
In Canada, everywhere, even in front of stores, restaurants, book stores, etc. there are always dishes with clean fresh water for dogs, cats, birds domestic or wild, etc.
Speaking of City Wildlife: All over, in every city, birds and small animals have babies during hot summer days - And, in order to survive, all have to guide their little ones towards the safe sources of water and food.
Nature with all its complexity was created ... "To be LOVED."
