CS425 Normalization

This video discusses the general notation of normalization. Normalization in DBMS defines as the process of minimizing redundancy from a relation or set of relations. Since having redundancy in relation that may cause insertion, deletion and updating anomalies. Therefore, it helps to minimize the redundancy in relations. Normal forms will be used to eliminate or reduce redundancy in database tables.
