i tried this tonight. Incredible. It's deceptively simple but yields BIG taste and flavor. Make sure you include the pasta water towards the end. It marries everything together. Start to finish in 15 minutes. I put some rustic bread and butter on the table and a few bottles of red wine and my friends and I had an incredible dinner without breaking the bank. Pow!

I made this today, found that the mixture was quite dry and there wasnt much of a ‘sauce’ so i just added about 150ml of chicken stock. This worked brilliantly, i also added a few glugs of balsamic vinegar too. It was delicious! Will definitely be making it again. Cheers Gordon!

I made this tonight. Substituted linguine which was fine. I added mushrooms to the onions and garlic and added crushed peppers as well. It was a delicious meal.

Made this Saturday night and it was bloody lovely! Fennel sausages were the highlight but the whole dish worked so well. Amazing flavours for such a simple recipe!As always, loving your work!

i made this based on Gordons recipe, added some dried Basil and Oregano, and used rigatoni pasta, Amazing dish. Gotta be patient and let the tomatoes break down and release their liquid for the sauce. Well worth it, and def making again!

Take this to next level by adding a tablespoon tomato puree 1 teaspoon sugar and about 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce into a small bowl mix well then just before you add the starchy pasta water add the tomato puree mixture cook for a min then throw in the water you will have a lovely intense flavourful tomatoey sauce. You can use balsamic vinegar instead of Worcestershire aswell.

Really nice tip I do:
I add small can of tomato paste, sweat it off
Dash of lea and perrins
Half cup red wine

Really, really good
