It makes me a little sad to think she was humiliated and ashamed. I thought that her performance was INCREDIBLE! And I thought it took such bravery and courage and humility (not humiliation) to admit that she made a "mistake." I am so grateful that Patti Smith exists in this world.

That performance was one of the most beautiful moments in music ever caught on film. She was the epitome of grace and humility. So real and vulnerable.

I love her. She's my North Star. A gorgeous woman and beautiful soul. She is clear, congruent, and filled with artistry. She would be the most interesting person in any room she is in.

What an amazing woman.
I couldn't help but notice how respectful everyone there was to her. Then I realized they were all 100% engaged in what she was saying.
Not many people have that kind of power.
Way to go Patty!

What a great, respectful, warm interview. The interviewer is asking intelligent questions and not making the interview about himself. He's superb. Patti is the most amazing woman ever. ♡

Love the energy at the studio. No stupid clapping after every sentence. Honest discussion, yet lighthearted enough.

The performance that caused her humiliation, made that performance even more outstanding. I actually broke down and cried watching it when my brother showed me. Gives goosebumps.

One of things I love about Patti is that she is completely honest. She doesn’t filter shit, she just lets it out.

I saw her in 2004 in Houston. She looked just like that. During the show she walked to the back of the hall and stood a few feet away from me. A whole lot of people were trying to get close and touch her. She looked at me, and we just had a moment of respect; she knew that I didn't need to grope her to appreciate her and she signalled her appreciation for that moment. We saw each other as people, not as icons or strangers.

I don’t know what it is but she always makes me cry. Something from her grabs my heart and emotion comes forth, and I’m a stiff upper lip Englishman.
