Hello people! Hope all is well!
Back with another video this time won’t be touring Ghana but put a video together on a very famous and local dish “Fufu”.

“Fufu” is a staple food common in many countries in West Africa and Central Africa such as Cote D’Ivoire, Guinea, Ghana 🇬🇭, Nigeria, both Congos, Cameroon, and Gabon, and is also found in the Caribbean. It is often made in the traditional Ghanaian and Nigerian method by mixing and pounding separate equal portions of cassava and green plantain flour thoroughly with water. It is then adjusted to either increase or decrease the viscosity of the fufu depending on personal preferences.
1. Other flours, such as semolina, maize flour or mashed plantains may take the place of cassava flour. Fufu is often served with groundnut soup, palm nut soup, abunuabunu or light soup.

I rather eat jollof before fufu btw 🤪👍🏽😁 👋🏽
enjoy!
Thanks always for the love & support!

That intense hand pounding made me realize that cultures that have food preparation that requires this amount of trust must be the most cohesive cooperative ones. If you can do this activity with anyone in your community and trust them to not smash your hand then it’s clearly a community with a strong bond.

No wonder people of olden days never trouble from obesity because food preparation was exercise in itself.

My heart drop every time she stick her hand in the pan. I’m afraid of her fingers getting smashed.

This process kinda reminds me of how people in Japan make mochi! It's so interesting to see such a similar, unique method used in different cultures

So cool! That's where my Puerto Rican mofongo comes from. As well as the Dominican mangú and fufu de plátano from Cuba. Same thing, different flavors. That's our heritage!!! ❤
