Lots of people insist that you don’t have to clean mop vacs if they have the self-cleaning feature

My great-grandma used to always say "just because I'm poor, doesn't mean I can't have nice things. The key is to take care of your things properly!" It's amazing how mold, dirt, and debris breaks things down so much faster!! She used to also say, "take care of your things, and they'll take care of you!" That's why vehicle maintenance is so important, too! But people are so busy and tired these days, or maybe their parents weren't taught that and so they didn't teach their kids; after all, you can't teach what you don't know!

Lately I've been so tempted to buy one of these mop vacuum things. This video showed me that they're not for me because I know myself and I would rarely or never clean it properly. I'll stick with my mop with removable microfiber pads that can be washed in the washing machine.

My father in law's girlfriend lost her daughter to suicide almost a decade ago. Ever since then her hoarding got much worse to the point where there is a small path from the front door to her bedroom with little paths to the kitchen and bathroom. Just trash upon trash. Cat poop and puke everywhere. Open food, old food, new products, half used products. I wanted to try and help her one day and barely got through cleaning one bathroom. She appreciated it immensely but due to habits and poor mental health it's back to what it looked like. Though I'm sure if the whole house were clean, maybe she could start a new, I just don't know how that would be possible. She will live the rest of her life like this sadly. I truly admire you doing this for those who absolutely cannot do it for themselves, your heart for people is unconditional and genuine.

Love a deep clean! The disinfectant will work better after soap and not before. Disinfectants work by a contact time. The soap can rid debris so the disinfectant can get under it to the plastics, otherwise you're disinfecting the top of the dirt if that makes sense. Still a great and thorough job!

I bought one of these and gave it away because it was just easier to use a regular mop rather than taking this mop apart and cleaning it

Our vacuum needs a thoroughly clean inside and out. I did it once but my mother wasn’t happy and she believes cleaning it thoroughly will ruin it. Our vacuum doesn’t work as good as it use to because of all the debris…and it was working way better when i did clean it once.

If Our vacuum had a voice….it would say “I’am old and very tired please clean me”.
