See Tammy, I disagree with you. The version of the song that has F-Auburn interlaced between every pause is only sung that way against Auburn, and it helps to create a hostile atmosphere for the visiting team. Fans in Baton Rouge, Gainesville, and other places are extremely intimidating and I think it makes a decided home field advantage for the home team. Simply showing up to watch doesn’t do much to create that insane and intense atmosphere that makes some places so much harder to play in than others.
