i really dont know what to think of metaprogramming. since im coming from java / c++, where you can just override methods with no problem, there is no such thing as monky patching. this makes it easier in my opinion, because you dont have all that confusing syntactic stuff with iterators and loops, but just the old method name reused with maybe other parameters. ruby is just most confusing when it comes to that, so i do prefer the java / c++ approach
