before reading this remember im a packers fan

why would the vikings trade JJ Mccarthy? I know Darnold is playing MVP level, but your out of your mind if you think that the vikings, who remember at the preseason, everybody loved him and he played great, would Trade away their QB of the future. They might sign Sam Darnold to a one to two year deal (or franchise tag him) but unless he wins SB MVP i seriously doubt any JJ Mccarthy trade rumors have any validation.

Slingin' Sammy Darnold is a great QB--top five easily, and he ain't #5. While still a much bigger unknown, JJ can be a transcendent QB, one who history will recognize in the same pantheon as Montana, Brady and Mahomes. JJ is a winner. His record in football dating back to H.S., is something like 60-4. He is as wildly charismatic as Darnold is bland. While JJ was still practing in training camp, Viking reporters said the QB battle was a dead heat btwn the two. Tag Darnold, let JJ prove himself on the practice field and mop up duty. Kick the can down the road a year, have a true competition and let the best man win. The Vikings deserve this embarrassment of richness having gone through the QB desert of Christian Ponder, Tarvaris Jackson Spergon Wynn and Josh Freeman

If, they keep falling from draft getting out the top ten then yes! If not " then it is a decision that will have to definitely be discussed; with the Raiders Organization.

It should cost the Raiders 2 first rounders 1 second rounder and 2 defensive backs.

IMO Vikings won't trade JJ McCarthy. He is the future of the franchise. Darnold will be tag and traded or play put one more season under a franchise trag. O'Connell can decelop QBs. SKOL!

If Darnold gets to get to the NFC championship ; trade JJ. But I would trade him to the Browns / get two picks (2 and 3rd ), Rb Ford and CB Ward.

Why trade?
He's cheap now, and next year.

There's no reason to trade someone who's so affordable and young just for an unknown draft pick.

JJ will not be traded for some time, given his highly affordable contract
