Pink Floyd 'Empty Spaces' Secret Message on Vinyl

I remember hearing about a year after the wall came out somebody figured this out and sent a letter to the funny farm, chalfont like it said. Apparently Pink Floyd sent him a check for £1000. I don't know if it's true or not, but I remember hearing this somewhere reputable, and I only heard it once.

I remember when i discover this about 20 years ago, was no any information on website about this. Well websites and YT just started, can't find any info about it. I show this to my friend and we try to understand more words then "Congratulations You discovered a secret message"

Not only that, but if you turn the volume up and only listen through the left speaker during the forward section, you hear Roger say "If you (garbled) there's probably a secret message..." It's around the 35 second mark.

I found this in my teens and played it over and over. My transcription was awfully close. I thought maybe you really could send something somewhere and get a special promotional tchotchky, but the message ends too soon for there to be an address.
