I’m autistic and have physical disabilities and listening to your channel helps me go outside to walk my dog and keep intrusive thoughts away so I can survive in this world that’s not necessarily designed for people like me. Here's a thought I had the other day: If you upload your mind into a machine, could you even think ? It occurred to me that our brains are constantly taking in countless stimuli, both from our senses of the external world, and from the feeling of bodies existing. All of that stimuli triggers thought patterns. Even just being slightly uncomfortable causes thoughts of shifting or moving around, which triggers thoughts of action planning, which triggers thoughts of motivations, which triggers considerations of pros and cons of doing any particular thing. Seeing or hearing the slightest thing of interest, or even having to go to the bathroom, or getting hungry, or feeling cold, triggers lots of thought processes, which become inner monologs, and memory searches, and self reflection. If you take away the massive amount of random stimuli and you only exist as a mind in a machine, how repetitive and simplistic would your thoughts become ? If there is absolutely no stimuli, then I don't think you can even think. I think you would get stuck in an endless mental loop forever.
