I don’t know why delonghi don’t care about milk texturing, their steam wand is basically a foam wand

If you're removing the metal tip PLEASE secure the rubber wand with a zip tie very well
Steam could make it pop out and you can get burned!

Been using this hack for a long time now, just use a zip-tie to secure the rubber thing from shooting off into the hot milk at high pressure or you’re gonne have a terrible time 😂 but with a little practice, you can really blow some minds with how great you can texture milk and make espresso with a real basket!

I am so happy to see this video, I have a DeLonghi and I was so confused as to why the steamer is like it is. I'll be sure to try this method

I figured this out and had to wire the rubber piece on to keep it from flying off. Then tried to replace the whole steam wand with a rancillo replacement. But i ended up finding a replacement for the original rubber tip that was made of metal, highly recommended

I actually opened my machine up and replaced that with a rancilio steam wand. It required some elbow grease but it's been totally worth it

OMG Thank you for sharing this, I thought it was my problem after making fully cups of milk bubbles for so many times😂

It's an automatic steam wand, so you don't have to stretch the milk first, and then encorporate the foam, just stick it in fully, and air gets incorporated through it. Of course, the proper method will yield nicer microfoam, but it's for simpler usage.

My delonghi wand cover has a little additional function that either does foam or “hot milk”. It’s a sliding cover that locks in one of two positions. The hot milk button likely exposes airflow back into the steaming wand

The same on most budget machines. Take the outer case off and works so much better. Some cases come with a hole in the top that can help texture milk but they all work so well without it.

Oh my god thank you. I make aerocanos (iced americano, steamed to create foam, almost like a nitro cold brew) for my fiancé all the time, for which the metal part is perfect, but when I actually want to steam milk it’s way too foamy. Can’t wait to try this

Omg, I have the same machine, and because of that fat steamer, I gave up drinking latte at home. Now I can make latte! Thanks!!!❤

Omg that's exactly what I do! I did it the first day I got the machine and never went back. I love it now.

Dude I have the same machine and did this too. Makes a difference. Also this little machine pulls such great shots. Super good value.

I don't know who needs to see this but if you can stretch to something like The Duo Temp Pro, you'll thank yourself later for not cheaping out. Also you can focus on the quality of the steaming than worrying about the size of the wand.
