WHAT WORKED FOR
I beat him more than ten times and couldn't move on. What I did was simply not kill him. As soon as he reached the last life bar, I stopped hitting him and simply survived until the cutscene triggers. Then the battle ended and the next mission was unlocked.

Summary: what worked for me was not to kill Majin Buu, but to leave him with little life left.

I got to super saiyan 3 on his last health bar and still didn’t get it. There’s got to be some other criteria cause I’m just not getting it no matter how many times I get to it

Theres a battle special throw in this mission too i ended the fight with gokus grab and it gave me a special animation and i saw the zeno order pop up

You don’t need to do anything special, just be Buu quickly. Comments saying you need to wait for any voice notes are not true.

found out it was the difficulty settings you play on. i would merk buu on easy like its nothing but the cut scene when he says trunks comes in too quick but changed the difficulty and didnt say it.

How do you get it so you don’t branch away from the path?

The reason people aren't able to do it even though they beat it quickly is because they have the difficulty changed to easy mode. When you are in the episode select screen, L2/LT will change it back to normal difficulty and it will tell you that secondary objectives can now be completed.

Weird nothing worked for me, but in one of my tries i almost killed him and right after that there was a dialog saying whats taking so long we got places to be, then cutscene and it whats the what if. I didn't even kill him.

Hello, as someone else in the comments say, reach SSJ3 and then do a throw Double X on ps4 or Double A on Xbox, that worked for me, buu had around 1 health bar in case that matters.

Bro i whooped buu hella times right after his ssj3 transformation and i still cant get it😢
