Izzi Kessner Aerial Rope Demo Reel 2021

Показать описание
I edited together a demo reel/sizzle reel of all my recent performances and tricks on aerial rope/corde lisse. This is not a short film or a full act or a vlog like I usually post, but instead more of a resume-type video.
Bio
Izzi Kessner (they/them) is a circus performer based in Los Angeles, California. They specialize in aerial rope (corde lisse); however, they are well versed in many other aspects of circus arts, including aerial silks, straps, dance, and acrobatic movements. Izzi creates art relating to their identity as a queer/genderqueer individual, combining contemporary circus with creative movement to create powerful and moving circus acts.
They have performed across the United States, including as a guest artist for the West Coast Aerial Arts Festival, in Las Vegas as part of a traveling anti-bullying circus show, and on ABC7’s 2020 LGBTQ Pride special, celebrating the 50th anniversary of LA Pride.
They have partnered with numerous nonprofit organizations to further this work, including being a guest speaker at the Pride and Joy Foundation's Family and Influencer Summit in May 2021. Izzi also creates circus short films, exploring how the art form can be transformed to fit an online atmosphere. One of their short films, "Roses and Thorns," was selected as the juried award winner for the Under 18 category of the 2021 Circus International Film Festival.
