French shipbuilder Naval Group and UAV developer Diodon are working on the integration of a Diodon HP30 UAV with a submarine. Operational tests should be carried out this year from a Rubis-class submarine of the French Navy.

****Interview recorded in December 2021***

=====================

According to Naval Group, the UAV deployed from Naval Group could fulfil many missions, including ISR, battle damage assessment, support to special forces, communication relay...

According to DIODON, the HP30 is a micro-drone weighing less than 2 kg. With its native buoyancy and completely waterproof electronics, it is designed for use in maritime environments and during heavy rainfall. The DIODON HP30 integrates high performance optical and thermal (IR) sensors for a better detection, reconnaissance and identification of points of interest. The DIODON HP30's communication systems are military-grade-encrypted and no critical data are stored on the drone.

DIODON HP30:
Endurance: 30 minutes
Range: 4 km
IP level: 56
Deployment: Less than 60 secondes
Wind resistance: 25 kts
Max speed: 60 km/h
Payload: Stabilized, waterproof EO (1920x1080)/IR (640x512)
Folded size: 240 x 380 x 120 mm
Unfolded size: 600 x 500 x 200 mm

Your prompting him did help a lot.

That guy is maybe New?, or simply Not yet trained to deliver product presentation on Camera.
I remember my 1st time was not one of my proudest moments.
Comfort & Confidence level in Public Speaking English also plays a part.
