Using proxy isnmot safe. Your isp is still able to see all your traffic when using proxy

I believe my isp might have started throttling. No matter what server I chose, it would connect fast, then slowly go down to 65kbps or around there. For me, good speeds are 700_1.5 . I went from socks five to HTTP seem to help a little bit but I believe maybe the Torrents I was using may also have contributed to my slow down. If I retrieved Torrents from a different site they seem to be better for some reason possibly more seeding. I think for security purposes I will configure Nord back to socks 5 as described on your instructional videos. Loving the product for two years I will be signing up for another three years.

Good video but I think you should be careful saying that because it uses UDP "it's more reliable". The alternative to UDP is TCP and in general, TCP is argued to be a "reliable, connection-oriented protocol" whereas UDP is, in general, argued to be a "unreliable, connectionless protocol". UDP can allow much faster communication than TCP because it doesn't need to stop and check that packets were sent in the right order or even really arrived in the first place. TCP on the other hand will do this AND will slow down communications if it detects congestion (a bottleneck somewhere in the communication line between the client machine and the destination server). TCP does this to be a "neighborly" algorithm and ensure that all participants of TCP sessions with the server are not slowed down due to one congested client.

For all I know this was just a slight typo in the script but I just want to put it out there as a slight criticism of the video. Beyond that I thought all the rest of the content was great. I thought the point about "all the content is in the UDP header" was a great point about security and why you might want to use a VPN over a simple socks proxy.

I'd still give this video a 5/5 or 10/10 rating because it still did a great job explaining a proxy vs. a VPN, the use of transport protocols (UDP instead of TCP), and potential issues of socks proxies vs. a VPN. It also did this in a concise, well-formatted, straight to the point format. But I would just caution against calling UDP "reliable" because it begs the question "then why use TCP in the first place?" and the question "what does it truly mean to be 'reliable'?".
