When I was young (I am 81), we had diphteria, polio, measles, pocks, chicken pocks - to name a few horrible diseases. When vaccines were discovered, our parents were, of course, thrilled. We were routinely vaccinated for protection. These were medical achievements of huge proportions that saved millions of people. Milk often made babies and children very sick, so pasteurized milk saved especially children from deadly illness - thanks to Louis Pasteur. Now, some parents do not seem to care for their children as much as for their own political views. The consequences are dire.
ps: I see a lot of replies and can work out who is fairly young and who is not. We were glad to eat at all during the 1940s and early 1950s. The country was in ruins (Germany). Nobody gave a damn if "milk is bad for babies" etc. We were glad to have anything at all. My best friend at school contracted polio. It was devastating. For people born into affluence, simply not imaginable. Be glad you have vaccinations. That is all I can say.

My mother contracted TB of the stomach from drinking contaminated raw milk as a child and spent all of her life with nasty gastrointestinal issues. But the guy whose dietary choices caused him to contract a brain worm thinks he knows better.
