I don't think many people understand exactly how hard it is to play this song the way that he does. It is very difficult just playing the song itself but to add the motions and extra stuff he adds is crazy.

I have never been so inspired by an instrument like I have been of late by the banjo. I started learning how to play about 30 years ago; but that was pretty short lived as, my step mother—who was also learning to play—was getting quite discouraged by my progress as compared to hers. I have recently taken it up again and I am thoroughly excited by it.

What a sweet man. We sung this song in the forth grade [I am now 66 years old] and it always made be feel a bit sad but this version was full of fun.
