& when those two branches rejoined, they found out that the one branch carried a lot of diseases for which the other branch lacked immunity.

I'm sure the reunification of the two branches after 10, 000 years apart was joyous and they lived happily ever after in harmony.

For context, Joe asked Neil how his flight was.

Technically, when he says the ice age ends, he really means the last glacial maximum. We are still currently in an ice age

Most of all research fields now acknowledge that vikings arrived in North America hundreds of years BEFORE Columbus. This is an old clip

And after 10, 000 years, when the two branches united, the lighter branch decided that the darker Branch wasn't human, therefore in the eyes of the church and the law so long as they weren't white or christian, you can enslave them.

As an Indigenous person (Navajo descent), I’ve been told that we are “Athabaskans” who entered America via the Bering Strait. I’ve also been told that I am of the Mongolian people. What’s interesting is, Navajo people and Mongolians do look alike. 🧐

People were traveling before Columbus. Let’s not forget that. Some don’t know that and they need to

I'm shocked to hear NDT say that Columbus was the first to contact people in the American continent when Scandinavian explorers did it 400 year prior and this has become common knowledge

What i find even more incredible about the opening and closing of the land bridge is how horses evolved in north america, spread to asia, the land bridge closes and horses die out in north america only to later be reintroduced there by humans

Things we used to be taught as part of our normal school curriculum. This isn't something new or profound. This was just a normal highschool social studies class. We learned this before lunch period.

Im native american (United Keetoowah Band) and sometimes I'll troll my grandma and be like
"Grandma! You know we're basically Asians right?"
Her angry response every time is "we've ALWAYS been here!" 😂
