This is my first time watching you, and I am so touched by the love you have for your grandmother- that you appreciated her, loved her for the wisdom and amazing talents she had and then shared her with us so my new friend, are AMAZING yourself!! I enjoyed this video, and now I am off to catch up on your other videos as well!!! Take care, and keep on stitching!!!

Ooohhh!!! I am so happy you mentioned the cozy mystery series featuring a woman with a stitching shop AND has an Irish Wolfhound like Wally!!!! They are light readings, but I do enjoy a series with the same main characters - it's like sitting down with an old friend! While waiting for Amanda Lee to write the next Marcy & Wally, er, Angus story, I found a set of "cozies" by Kate Carlisle that are called "A Bibliophile Mystery" which features Brooklyn Wainwright, who is an expert bookbinder who lives in San Francisco grew up in Sonoma Country, etc - I enjoy them because it does tend to ring true amongst us stitchers that we love to read too!!!! But I for my long winded comments this evening!!!

Nice thrift store finds! That store would have been a treasure trove for me when I taught preschool. Thanks for sharing your grandmother's art. You framed them perfectly. I would love to see the photo of her that you talked about! Your "Oh Whale" turned out so pretty. I think I need to stitch that. Oh, and we were just talking about the crafting mysteries at my group's stitch day today! Another great video from you. You are sweet, genuine, and fun.

Congratulations on your thrift store finds! Your grandmother's paintings look beautiful, what a lovely way of remembering her 😊 The nativity scene and frame is a really interesting idea, looks good!

Despite stitching for 30 years, after listening to you I just realized that I too hate to start projects. It takes a lot of prep and organization to get projects going, especially bigger pieces, and I tend to put it off. I never thought about setting some time aside every now and then to start a few pieces at once. What a great idea!

Glad you enjoyed your thrift store haul. I've donated a lot of stitchy stuff to the goodwill and always hope people enjoy them...I often worry the staff might throw it straight into the garbage (maybe they don't even know what cross stitch is!).

So... I totally just binge watched all your Flosstube videos, lol. I love Oscar Pepper and all your Harry Potter stitchiness. Also that kite kit was so cute! I wish the thrift store near me had cross stitch supplies.

I am so sorry to hear about your grandmother. She was a wonderful artist.

I love your thrift store finds! In fact the seasons of cats I have and stitched the fall one in 1996. I wish I could show you pictures. Now you are showing cozy mysteries which I read all the time. An Embroidery Mystery series is one of my favorites.

Look at you! Thrift Store Diva! You found some great things. I never find good stuff at my thrift stores. My mother introduced me to cross stitch and has since downsized to a senior apartment. I made have told you this before, but I'll keep an eye out for cat patterns you might like. Have a great week, and yes the hot hot California weather was terrible! I was shocked when I saw 100 for the San Francisco area. We have been higher here in the Sacramento Valley. Thank you for sharing! 😊🙋🏼

There used to be plastic cups ( like sippy cups) and you would cross stitch on the vinyl weave and insert that into the cup. That's the only thing I've ever seen that stuff used for. 😃 love the "oh whale" - very cute!

Growing up in Southern California, the Pacific Ocean is always cold. Making me jealous again with your fantastic topknot but I think I am getting better with it. I think I need to sass it up with something sequined. LOVE the Ink Circles piece stitched on gray with white! Awesome score at the thrift store! The Stickideen one is very cool. Ready for your first creeper comment? This comes via my husband, "She's cute, how old is she?" I had you streamed on my television and he glanced up as he walked by. I told hubby you were the one who has inspired my recent top knot wearing do and then I told him that he was old enough to be her dad. Sorry to hear about your grandma and she was an incredible artist. LOVE the idea of framing the cards! I got teary eyed along with you ❤ Agnes? No, Walle for sure LOL Yes, dibs on the book!

I love your sweet memories of your grandma. She sounds like an amazing lady and clearly so talented.

You are a total thrift store ninja! Amazing haul. I know this is an older video so someone may have already shared this, but there's another stitchy cozy mystery series by Monica Ferris. The first book is Crewel World. I hadn't heard of the series you mentioned so definitely checking those out, too!
