DeSantis on hypothetical matchup: ‘I beat Biden handily in the swing states’

Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) told NBC News correspondent Gabe Gutierrez that he is confident he could beat President Joe Biden in a general election, despite falling 9 points in the polls since officially launching his presidential bid. "Biden beat Trump in the swing states and I beat Biden handily in the swing states. That's ultimately the election right there," DeSantis said.

I can't explain how I can claim Republican affiliation yet detest the idea of voting Trump.

Maybe it's because of Trump's arrogance, or his but hurt attitude over losing to pres Biden, or his bend toward roasting the opposition rather than presenting his own plan, or that he will never be free of the media circus, or that all his efforts will be consumed by the fires of frivolous opposition lawsuits, or his abuse of influence pursuant to calling on factional hostile groups to attenpt a coup d'etat on the white house.

How I can explain my apprehension in a way that will make others understand that I view Trump as a liability rather than an asset to the American People and the Office of President.

My intent is to vote according to my own convictions that support Christian and Constitutional ideals .. despite the candidate, or party.

While Trump and deSantis are obviously working the same elephant (at opposite ends) I just feel it's safer to vote for someone that has a clear record of favoring conservative ends while exercising humility rather than showing himself to be King of the (capital) Hill.

In short, I believe Trump's about Trump - not the people .. and I ain' votin for that!

I hope deSantis remains humble and focused .. otherwise I may be forced to vote for Kennedy.
