ASHRAE Heat Load Calculation - Internal Loads (People)

In this video we explain internal loads based on People ASHRAE Fundamentals. A person dissipates Sensible and Latent heat which are 250 BTU/h and 200 BTU/h depending on the degree of activity and metabolic rate.
ASHRAE Fundamentals table 1, chapter 18 presents a table where it shows the total, sensible and latent heat for different types activities. This calculation is analytical but in reality there are programs such as: TRACE 3D, IESVE, Carrier HAP, Manual N light commercial that performs the heat load calculation. This video is more for commercial HVAC design, however, 250/200 BTU/h is still used for occupants loads based on ACCA Manual J (Residential).
