A Bronx father and a retired member of the NYPD are among those killed in this week's deadly Dominican Republic roof collapse. CBS News New York's Naveen Dhaliwal spoke with that Bronx father's family.

Too much rigging, trusses, lights, socapex cables, Line array speakers ( bass vibrations) electric chain hoists etc.. Probably would have been OK with the air conditioners on the roof if they didn't slowly Add all the fancy modern audio and lighting equipment. I've seen it cause collapses before

SO SAD. One of the reasons I avoid crowded venues. You never know what can happen. The only crowded venue I go to on occasion is the movies. Never was into clubs, broadway, or sports stadiums for that matter.

Sad news. Too bad this 31 year old man with a 1 year old child and another baby on the way chose to leave his family behind and travel out of the country to attend a concert. People need to learn where their priorities need to be.
