If God is protecting this pastor, why did He allow the shooting to happen in the first place? Why does the pastor need firearms and police to protect him? Can he not rely on God to protect him and not need earthly -i.e., manmade -modes to save him from physical harm? Is God too impotent to defend this man? My dad lost his legs in 1974 from a fight with 7300 volts of electricity from a broken overhead powerline. Many folks said God saved dad's life. Why did God allow dad this accident with so much grief to happen instead of preventing the accident? Instead of saving dad's life after the accident, why not just prevent it in the first place?
