Hey guys! Today I'm going to show you fun & creative things you can do when you feel bored at home! You can try these fun and creative DIY projects when you are bored and don't know what to do! In this tutorial I will show you not only how to doodle and how to create doodling art, how to create a dot painting, but I will also share an abstract art technique and show you how to create unique and abstract art using a plastic bag and acrylic paint. Lastly I will show you how to create hand lettering quote art using watercolors in this tutorial! When you are home alone and feel bored, don't know what to do when bored, all these ideas and techniques are great DIY projects that are not only fun but also creative!

#1 Doodling Art
There are a lot of doodle art tutorials for beginners on YouTube, but even when you have an idea and feel inspired to doodle, sometimes you still don't know what to doodle! This is a great opportunity to do art just for the process! Create random lines, make them overlap each other and then start somewhere! Add lines, circles, squares, anything that comes to your mind!

#2 Hand Lettering / Quote Art
Another fun thing is to learn hand lettering and create inspirational quote art! There are quote art tutorials and they are a great way to start! Find inspiration online and decide what font you would like to use! For my tutorial I used an aqua brush because you can just press the brush to release the water! But you can use normal brushes as well!

#3 Unique & Abstract Art Techniques
Creating abstract art is another fun thing to do when you are bored! For this abstract art technique you will need a plastic bag, something firm to wrap it ar (cutting board), acrylic paint and paper! Don't use too much paint or it can get very messy! This is one of many abstract art painting ideas, but since you never know how the painting will turn out, it makes the result surprising and even better!

#4 Dot painting on Canvas / Dot Art Painting
From random dots to DOT ART, creating a dot painting is another fun activity! It's a little bit similar to Pointillism but here it is inspired by different artists and the Aboriginal art!
I came across this type of art through Instagram and working with kids. It's very therapeutic and relaxing. Aboriginal art has a deeper meaning that you can look into as well! You can tell stories through this type of art or just create beautiful artwork while relaxing!

Hello! So about what you said at the hand-lettering part...

"Left side of the letter is thick but the right side needs to be thin."

I'm sorry I can't help myself but I feel like this needs to be corrected. >~< It's actually the down and up strokes that are thick and thin respectively and not the left or right side of the letter lmao. (Still, that's quite an interesting observation.)

Though as you said, it depends on the type of font. :)

Anyway, I really like these ideas! I'm gonna give the dots one (lmao dunno what to call it) a try. It looks so satisfying... 😍
