Therapy is a businesses. An effective therpist would not make any money because the therapy would work. Most therapists want clients to keep coming back, to keep paying them.

psychology is an evolution of philosophy. the real problem with psychology is that people have no life experiences are giving advice from a textbook.

I find that most people are in therapy because emotions not because they don't have the intelligence to do what common sense dictates.

The therapist is someone like a buddy that you trust and getting advice from...you willing to open up everything to him/her and trusting in full that him/her would keep your secret from anyone including your family...
Its like a buddy to buddy situation...

Your mates don’t know how brains and trauma work. Get one of your mates to explain schema therapy to you. Gimme a break. Psych’s, doctors etc know way more than your “buddies”. If you just want to vent sure go see your mate, if you want to learn go see a professional.

There is a huge difference between therapist, psychologist, and psychiatrist. Most women go to therapists.... which doesnt require any training or schooling. A vast majority of therapists are just random ppl that scam people into paying them to listen... never solving any issues, so they come back... psychologist and psychiatrist are only slightly better, as they actually know what they are doing, so you can actually tell the difference. They CAN solve some issues, so when a psychiatrist has a ton of clients, it means they are scamming people and not solving. Every good psychiatrist i have ever met, doesnt have a huge private practice, and main job is for some medical center because they actually care and want to help people...

My Dad is the best psychologist. My mom, very smart woman, but she will worry about the things out of her control. My dad says only worry about what you can control because you can't control others' actions. Shows that you don't need a license just a loving partner.

This is actually an issue in a lot of fields, including biology, particle physics, and synthetic chemistry. That isn't to say the data is all fabricated, but the results vary because of a lack of accurate reporting of data and variables prior to experiments and issues with bias in interpretations.

Modern psychology will eventually be seen as how we now view phrenology.

Your "buddy" doesnt want you to trauma dump on them so yeah your paying someone to listen to you.

Medicine is subjective science, not fixed. What work for me doesn't work for you, is based by " trial and error" technique.

Not true. There's a huge amount of statistics involved in psychological studies and measurable reassurance for conclusions. For example, go view Jordan Peterson's explanation regarding the development of I.Q. testing.

I went when I lost my dad. Did cpr for 40 minutes until the paramedics came. He was gone. I believe that I could do more if I was properly trained on how to do cpr.
I went to the psychologist cause I couldn't sleep, eat, nothing and she was a person who didn't know me and wasn't my friend so I could talk more freely about my feelings and how I coped with that trauma.
My conclusion after 1-2 months (when we stopped cause as she put it is I know what to do and the point in psychotherapy is to not need the psychologist anymore) is
1. I use running after weightlifting as a coping mechanism cause my dad was a marathon runner and it makes me feel close to him and
2. Trauma is basically our amygdala response who says "I don't want to be in that situation again, so make me remember"
It's not gonna be erased but you learn to live with it and you try to be a better version of yourself.

I get what he's saying but with psychology is a buddy comfortable enough to question you on why it is that you think the way that you think that you do without getting hit

Medical field is a soft science? Studies cannot be reproduced?

I beg to differ.
